The Teide National Park tour in Tenerife takes you through stunning volcanic landscapes, including Mount Teide, Spain's highest peak. Explore unique rock formations, ancient craters, and breathtaking views, making it a must-see for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
Teide National Park – with an Optional Cable Car
The Teide National Park Tour offers a visit to El Teide National Park, with the option to take the Teleférico cable car up to an altitude of 3,555 meters above sea level. You will have the opportunity to see Spain's highest peak and enjoy views of the entire Atlantic Ocean and the El Teide volcano.
At the beginning of the trip, we will pass through the Canary pine forests before finally reaching Teide National Park, located at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters above sea level. This natural area was declared a National Park in 1954 to protect its incredible landscapes and ecological value. The lunar landscapes of El Teide are often compared to those in Arizona, and the main road through the park is reminiscent of the famous "Route 66" in the USA.
Along the way, we will make several stops so you can admire the breathtaking volcanic scenery. The Cañadas del Teide is a caldera with a diameter of over 15 km, at the center of which stands the El Teide volcano. The landscape here appears otherworldly, with "lunar" and even "Martian" scenery. The areas within the park have often been used in high-budget film productions.
We have also scheduled free time for you to have lunch on your own or try Canary cuisine at one of the recommended restaurants near El Portillo.
Teleférico – Cable Car
Next, we will head to the Teleférico cable car station, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Ucanca Valley. The ascent to the summit of El Teide by cable car is optional. If you wish to take the cable car, you must reserve it when booking the tour.
Finally, at the end of the Teide National Park tour, we will visit Roques de García, where you will see one of the most iconic sights of Tenerife. This remarkable rock formation is featured on many of Tenerife's postcards.
